New York Football Players Offer Mixed Reactions To Tebow Trade

NEW YORK (WFAN) - Everybody seems to have an opinion on the Jets' highly publicized acquisition of quarterback Tim Tebow, and those opinions aren't just limited to broadcasters, writers and fans.

New York football players took to Twitter on Wednesday to offer their thoughts on the addition, and the sentiments ranged from exuberance to uncertainty to criticism.

Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie openly questioned the move, tweeting, "Y bring [Tebow] in when we need to bring in more Weapons for @Mark Sanchez let's build the team around him. We already signed to 3 year ext."

Cromartie's teammate, guard/tackle Damien Woody, didn't concur with Cromartie's analysis.

"Here.....We.....Go!!!!!!" Woody tweeted upon first hearing the news. He later commented on the effect that Tebow's arrival will have on New York City, tweeting, "Linsanity & Tebow in the same city.....can NYC handle this?!?!"

Reaction wasn't just limited to Jets players, however. A Giant decided to offer his two cents, as well.

"Glad he's man of God because NY won't be easy," Giants cornerback Terrell Thomas, who was recently re-signed by the G-Men, tweeted.

The Broncos received fourth- and sixth-round draft picks from the Jets, while New York got Tebow and a seventh-rounder.
