L.I. Man Charged With Using Child In Sexual Performance

BAY SHORE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Suffolk County arrested a man who they say sexually abused a juvenile female victim.

Authorities said that 45-year-old Daniel Rodriguez was arrested in Bay Shore Thursday afternoon and charged with aggravated sexual abuse, promoting a sexual performance of a child and use of a child in a sexual performance.

Rodriguez was also charged for failing to register as a sex offender, police said.

Authorities said that Rodriguez was required to register as a sex offender after being convicted of 1st-degree rape in 1992.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
