NYPD: Suspect Stole Woman's Wallet, iPhone During Blind Date

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man accused of ripping off a woman during a blind date in Manhattan.

The 50-year-old victim told police the suspect, whom she met online, stole her wallet and iPhone after they met at a bar on the Lower East Side on March 9.

Police said when they parted ways at a subway station at Second Avenue and East Houston Street, the woman discovered the items missing.

The man, whose first name is possibly "Hayden," is described as being 25- to 30-years-old.

Police said he is 6'1" tall and about 165 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).

The public can also submit their tips on the Crimestoppers' website and or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577.
