Big Blue Bling Blitz: Giants Players Fumble, Tweet Picture Of Potential Super Bowl Ring

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Some Giants players caused a bit of a blitz when they preemptively tweeted photos of what may be the Big Blue Super Bowl XLVI ring.

Linebacker Clint Sintim, who spent the season on the sidelines due to injury, first tweeted a photo of the bling, according to Fox Sports.

The ring features diamond-embedded footballs - one for each Giants Super Bowl victory, along with the team's logo and what appears to be a sapphire detail.

Sintim later removed the photo from his Twitter feed, writing:

"Saw the ring online not official yet ... official release will be presented by Giants organization ... Sorry."

The Daily News reported that running back Andre Brown also tweeted and then removed photos of the ring. Apparently, the item isn't to be revealed until a private ceremony at Tiffany's on May 16.

"We haven't decided on the final ring yet," tweeted defensive end Justin Tuck. "Still working on it."
