Wedding Dreams For NJ Couple To Come True This Weekend At Country Music Awards

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBSNewYork) - Martina Mcbride and Train frontman Pat Monahan will serenade Christina Davidson and Frank Tucci of Gloucester County, NJ on Sunday on CBS as they exchange vows during the Academy of Country Music Awards, reports WCBS 880's Marla Diamond.

The wedding dreams will come true for a South Jersey couple that has seen their share of tragedy. Davidson was seven weeks pregnant with her second son -- the first not even two years old yet -- when her husband drowned in a canoeing accident. She then formed a support group, Diamond reports, and met widower Tucci, who had a young son after he lost his wife to cancer.

The Washington Township couple will be the first ever to be married on an awards show.

"To know that we found each other, and we did find love again, I feel like a lot of weight has been lifted off of me," Davidson told Diamond.

The couple was close friends for two years before the relationship got intimate.

"We were just hanging out, and that's the night that he kissed me," Davidson recalled. "And it was just like, 'Wow.' It's just something so positive, and I just hope that everybody can take from it -- that there is hope."

The bride will wear an Oleg Cassini gown from David's Bridal in New York City, and their three sons (ages 2, 4 and 5) will watch the nuptials with their grandparents on TV.

You can catch the CMA's this Sunday night at 8 p.m. on CBS 2.
