Firefighters Battle 4-Alarm Blaze On Staten Island

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Three firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling an early morning fire at two private homes on Staten Island.

The fire broke out at a home around 3 a.m. Monday on Mada Avenue in West Brighton and spread to a residence next door.

The fire went to a fourth alarm at 4:30 a.m., but about an hour later, firefighters had the blaze under control.

No injuries have been reported and there's still no word on a cause.
