Police: Unidentified Man Committed Rape On Subway Steps In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD is looking for a man who allegedly committed rape in Brooklyn on April 6th.

In the area of Stanhope Street and Wyckoff Avenue, the man grabbed a 37-year-old woman and raped her on the steps of the L Train subway station, police said. He fled the scene following the incident.

The suspect is a 24-year-old Hispanic, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-9 and weighing roughly 150 pounds, the NYPD confirmed. He has short black hair, brown eyes and a scar below his left lip.

He is believed to have worn lime green sneakers, a black bubble vest and blue jeans on the night of the incident.
