Piper's owner, Dawn Strain, spoke with 1010 WINS on Monday, and said the pair really does "love each other."

"We were riding in the car home the other day and Piper's laying on top of Boo all cuddled up. She's a very affectionate dog, but not necessarily with other dogs, so it was really was very, very sweet to see," Strain said. "She really does adore him."

Boo belongs to Broadway actress Orfeh.

The bride and groom, both rescued, have gotten to know each other throughout the years, going on a number of play dates and walks in the park, according to Strain.  However, this marriage will be a long distance one.

"[Piper] will be living with me and Boo will be living with Orfeh," Strain said, adding "They're going to be seeing each other and spend time with each other often."

Meanwhile, the bridal store Kleinfeld will be outfitting Piper with a gown and Boo with a tux.

"I think it's a creative, fun thing to do," Strain said.  "These creative ideas will become a trend in raising funds for charity."

Tickets cost between $125 and $250. Organizers hope to have over 150 people attend the nuptials.
