Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Westchester County
YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A small plane made an emergency landing in a field at an IBM research facility on Friday afternoon.
A pilot and three passengers on board the Beechcraft Bonanza BE36 airplane escaped without injury, CBS 2's Lou Young reported.
The incident happened near Route 134. The plane was headed to Westchester County Airport and landed about six miles short of its destination.
Air traffic controllers lost track of the plane when it flew into Westchester, Young reported.
Witnesses told Young that the plane appeared to be encountering engine trouble and was wobbling before it made the emergency landing.
