Daniel Alfredsson To Return To Senators To Face Rangers
OTTAWA (AP) — Daniel Alfredsson is returning to the Ottawa Senators' lineup.
The captain pronounced himself fit to play Game 6 against the New York Rangers on Monday after taking the morning skate at Scotiabank Place.
Alfredsson missed the last three games with a concussion after being elbowed by New York's Carl Hagelin in Game 2. The 39-year-old star rejoins a Senators team that leads the first-round series 3-2 and can finish off the series with a victory over top-seeded New York.
Prospect Jakob Silfverberg also took the morning skate with the Senators one day after joining the team from Sweden.
