Kerley: Tebow Has A Lot More Velocity On His Passes Than Does Sanchez

NEW YORK (WFAN) - Since the day the Jets acquired Tim Tebow, awkwardness surrounded the Jets' awfully strange quarterback situation.

And that situation got a tad bit more awkward on Tuesday.

Jets wide receiver and return specialist Jeremy Kerley decided to offer his two cents on his starting and backup quarterback, and while he managed to compliment both gunslingers, he did make an interesting observation about who has more zip on his passes.

"[Tebow's] ball comes out a little bit stronger, but he's accurate, he's more accurate than what I thought he was going to be," Kerley told NJ.com. [Tebow has] a lot, a lot more velocity."

Kerley made sure to defend and support Mark Sanchez following his comments about Tebow, stating, "No dis to Mark, he brings it, man."

Sanchez will be the Jets' starting quarterback to start the season, but many have speculated that if he struggles as the season progresses, Tebow could get an opportunity to start.

Even though Kerley's comments seem relatively harmless, does it reinforce that there is trouble on the horizon in regard to the Jets' quarterback situation? Sound off with your thoughts and comments below...
