Celebrate National Pretzel Day In New York City

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- As heard on 1010 WINS, today is National Pretzel Day- here's where to cash in for your fix of all things pretzel.

Sigmund's has salted, seeded, and flavored pretzels with all kinds of dips. They also have a unique pretzel sandwich. Inside that is mozzarella, tomato and pesto or smoked salmon and cream cheese.

The Red Head on East 13th St serves up soft pretzels with cheese for dipping.

Landbrot, a German bakery in the West Village is dishing up hot brezeln.

At Varsano's on West 4th pick up a chocolate or caramel-dipped pretzel.

And there's always the staple buttery pretzel at Auntie Anne's. They have jalapeno, cinnamon sugar, garlic, raisin, and pepperoni pretzels, nuggets and sticks. You'll find these all over in your local mall or visit the one at Rockefeller Center.

If you're going for a full meal, Talde in Park Slope has pretzel pork & chive dumplings served with a spicy mustard and David Burke Townhouse on the Upper East Side have a pretzel-crusted crab cake.

Don't have that much time today? After work stop by a NYC pretzel cart for a classic soft pretzel.
