So-Called L.I. 'Hot Dog Hooker' Delivers 6-Minute 'I'm Sexy' Rant To Reporters

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- She says she's a hot dog stripper, not a hot dog hooker.

Despite pleading guilty to misdemeanor prostitution Tuesday, Catherine Scalia, 45, of East Rockaway, denies she sold sex out of her Long Island hot dog truck and vows to be back on the street Wednesday to continue selling her goods.

"I'll be back out there with my bikini top on, selling my hot dogs. I'm right in front of Pep Boys on Baldwin in Freeport. I have loads of customers, everybody loves me, nobody has a problem," Scalia declared to reporters.

Police arrested Scalia last week and charged her with prostitution, saying an undercover cop went to her hot dog truck and then her home for a sex act.

However, Scalia denied she sold sex to the police officer and said he got a lap dance before police arrived at the scene and arrested her, 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera reported.

"Prostitution is sex. I'm not selling sex, I'm selling my cleavage," Scalia told CBS 2's Derricke Dennis Wednesday night.

Scalia walked out of Nassau County Jail Tuesday celebrating, saying "I'm sexy and I know it everybody." She also made no secret of her plans to continue to spice up her hot dogs with sex appeal.

"I'm a mother of four kids and, yes, I show my cleavage. I think it's sexy. If Pamela Anderson can do it, so can I," Scalia told reporters, including CBS 2's Carolyn Gusoff.

Scalia also had some advice for authorities, saying they should be going after the killer of the prostitutes found dead along Ocean Parkway instead of her.

"They should find that serial killer. They're worried about a stupid stripper when they got a serial killer out there -- go find that guy," Scalia said.

Despite her guilty plea, Scalia once again denied being a hooker, saying she just shows cleavage and does a lap dance for a $100.

"Indecent exposure is not prostitution," she said.

Scalia faces seven days in jail for her misdemeanor -- five of which she has already served.

Her sentence is contingent on her getting a psychiatric evaluation, but there will be no restrictions on her selling hot dogs in whatever clothing she chooses.
