B&C Morning Show: Rangers-Devils Gets Interesting As Coaches Start Chirping

Hellooo everyone! Max here taking over the blog from Bobby for the day. Boomer and Craig kicked off Monday morning's extravaganza talking about a Rangers-Devils Eastern Conference Finals that officially has some juice to it. Brandon Prust's elbow to the head of Anton Volchenkov in Game 3 not only earned "Pruster" a one-game suspension, it set off a war of words between the head coaches, John Tortorella and Peter DeBoer.

After Saturday's game, DeBoer referred to Prust's play as "head-hunting." So when the media asked Torts what his thoughts were, he rattled off a laundry list of problems he had with the way the Devils were playing the game.

Craig states that after hearing Ranger fans whine and complain about how the refs and the league are out to get the Blueshirts, he's actually on board with that train of thought now. He thinks that if Prust deserved a suspension for his hit on Volchenkov, then certainly Zach Parise deserved a similar fate for his hit on Michael Del Zotto.

No one is more pleased to hear Craig say these things than Boomer, who has been claiming the NHL has had a "Screw the Rangers" button for years. He talks about the on-ice aspects of the series also, including how the Devils have been able to do everything right, except get the puck past the unbelievable Henrik Lundqvist.
