Secret Gal Pal? Lolo Jones Hints Jets' Tim Tebow May Be Off The Market
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Jets center Nick Mangold really, really wants to match up Tim Tebow with U.S. Olympic hurdler Lolo Jones.
But the Jets' PR-minded backup quarterback just may be off the market, Jones tweeted Tuesday.
So much for Lo-Bow.
Jones recently told HBO's "Real Sports" that, like Tebow, she's steering clear of premarital sex. Her much-discussed vow led to some banter in the Jets' locker room, and had Mangold leading a chant of "Lo-lo! Lo-lo!" after OTAs last Thursday.
"I'm trying to get @timtebow to accept that he and @lolojones are a match made in heaven. #Lobow," Mangold tweeted after his appearance on "NFL Total Access" aired Tuesday.
"Thanks Nick but i actually heard tebow has a girlfriend he just isn't saying it publicly," Jones responded via Twitter. "The search continues..."
Mangold said on "Total Access" that pairing up the elite athletes has become his "new goal" this spring, since his usual offseason hobby, golfing, "isn't going so well."
The center, who added he was "actually pushing for Tim and Lolo Jones to, you know, 'get united,' " with the locker room chant, promised he'd try to get to the bottom of Tebow's clandestine courtship.
"I will try to get some anwers and I'll report back," Mangold tweeted. "No worries #Lobow"
