Coney Island Principal Says No To 'God Bless The USA,' Says Yes To Justin Bieber's 'Baby'

NEW YORK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - A Coney Island principal known for controversy has apparently ignited another one.

P.S. 90's Greta Hawkins has told her kindergarten teachers to ditch Lee Greenwood's ballad, "God Bless the USA" from the school's June 20th commencement.

The administrator's explanation was that "we don't want to offend other cultures," the New York Post reported.

City officials said that the reason was because the lyrics were not age-appropriate, and they back her decision.

Among the songs that those five year olds will be singing, however, is Justin Bieber's hit, "Baby."

Do you see the principal's point at all, or is she way out of line with this decision? Sound off with your thoughts and comments in the section below...
