Ex-Ranger John Mitchell Signs With Avalanche
NEW YORK (WFAN) — Former Rangers' forward John Mitchell signed a two-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday.
TSN's Darren Dreger reported Mitchell agreed to a $2.2 million dollar contract for two years. He is set to earn an annual average value of $1.1 million dollars.
The 27-year-old Mitchell played 63 games for the Rangers during the 2011-12 season. He scored 5 goals and 11 assists. During the playoffs, Mitchell took part in 18 games and recorded a lone assist.
Mitchell previously played 3 seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs before joining the Rangers in February 2011.
