Times Square Legend 'Naked Cowboy' Has New Rival To Deal With In 'Naked Indian'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - If you've ever been to Times Square then you've seen him.

Robert Burck, also known as the "Naked Cowboy," is famous for playing his guitar in a 10-gallon hat and nothing but underwear.

But now, just across the street, there is Adam David. He, not coincidentally, calls himself the "Naked Indian."

Burck has threatened to file a lawsuit against David, the New York Daily News reported, saying that he wants the Indian to join his team and -- apparently -- kick in some of his proceeds.

David, however, said that he's not interested in any formal arrangement with his rival, and that there's enough room in Times Square for both of them.

"No one was doing an Indian," David told the News.

Burck's gimmick, other than briefs, boots and a 10-gallon hat, is his guitar and singing. His rival wears a headdress, briefs, knee-high moccasin boots and bangs a drum.

Does the "Naked Indian" stand a chance at taking the limelight away from the "Naked Cowboy?" Sound off with your thoughts and comments below...
