Last week, three teenage girls were attacked by other girls at the pool.

On Tuesday evening, three men were arrested after scuffling with police.

But those men wouldn't go quietly. One officer had to mace at least suspect, Geoffrey Croft, president of the watchdog group NYC Park Advocates, told Diamond.

But this wasn't keeping people away today.

"I think it's terrible though for these incidents to continually happen. You know, this should be a safe haven," Fran Reffino of Brooklyn told Diamond.

Croft said security has improved.

"Dramatically," he said. "Yesterday, there was 16 police officers, plus one sergeant, plus park enforcement."

He blamed the incidents on a few bad actors with disregard for authority.
