Ex-Giants Star Tiki Barber, Traci Lynn Johnson Tie Knot In NYC

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- He's got a ring. She's got one, too.

Retired NFL star Tiki Barber married his girlfriend and one-time mistress Traci Lynn Johnson on Thursday in Manhattan.

The controversial ex-Giants running back announced the news via Twitter: "Many thanks to the NYC Clerk's office, especially James Mitchell who married me to my love @TraciLJohnson! Excited for the next chapters."

Barber left his wife of 11 years, Ginny, for the former NBC intern in 2010. Ginny was eight months pregnant with twins at the time. He lost his job with the network soon afterward, and finalized the long and contentious divorce this year.

Johnson also announced the matrimony and tweeted a photo of her ring-clad finger interlocked with Barber's.

Once the face of the Giants, Barber has burned some bridges since his retirement. He has been critical of coach Tom Coughlin, and in 2007 questioned quarterback Eli Manning's ability to lead New York's locker room. Angry Giants fans heartily booed Barber during the running back's induction into the Giants' Ring of Honor in October 2010.

Barber attempted a comeback last year, which fell short when he couldn't find a landing spot. He later caused a stir when he compared living with Johnson in his agent's attic to the ordeal of Holocaust victim Anne Frank.
