Accused Aurora Killer James Holmes Allegedly Foreshadowed Crimes On Adult Sex Website

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - So who is the man accused of killing 12 people and injuring 59 others in an Aurora, Colorado movie theater?

His past is coming to light.

According to multiple reports, 24-year-old suspect James Holmes' life was falling apart. He dropped out of the  neuroscience doctoral program at the University of Colorado, lost touch with his family and spent time scanning an unusual sex website.

On AdultFriendFinder.com, the man believed to be Holmes foreshadowed the fact that he may commit crimes. He allegedly wrote such comments as "Will you visit me in prison?" the New York Post reported. The newspaper also reported that he was looking for partners who were into "Women, Couples (man and woman), Groups or Couples (2 women)."

In his apparent picture on the site, the accused killer showcased red hair, which he's believed to have sported when he entered the movie theater. The profile photo also featured a photo of an unknown woman licking her fingers behind him.

"I could totally see this happening," a teammate on Holmes' high-school soccer team told the New York Post. "It's not like at the time I'd report him or anything, but when it happened I thought, 'Of anyone I know, I could see him committing something like that.'"

Holmes was raised in a suburban San Diego town by his mother, a nurse, and his father, a software manager. He ran cross-country in addition to playing soccer at prestigious Westview High School.
