Jets' Sanchez, Tebow Handling The Pressure So Far
CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) — Mark Sanchez wants to be like Eli Manning.
The New York Jets' starting quarterback says after training camp practice Monday that he studied the trajectory of the Giants signal caller's career during the offseason and saw how Manning improved in his fourth season — which Sanchez is beginning — and ended up winning the Super Bowl. Appearing loose and relaxed despite the perceived pressure with Tim Tebow in town as his backup, Sanchez has had a good start to camp.
Meanwhile, Tebow's biggest highlight came after a shirtless run in the rain after practice Saturday, something he was stunned became such a big story. He's the most popular player on the team, and says the immense scrutiny that comes with that can be a challenge at times.
