Hacked! Jeter Sex Change Post Lands On Yankees' Facebook Page

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Derek Jeter is doing what?!

Yankees fans were in for a shock Thursday when a hacker briefly took control of their favorite team's Facebook page.

"We regret to inform our fans that Derek Jeter will miss the rest of the season with sexual reassignment surgery," the rogue post read. "He promises to come back stronger than ever in 2013 as Minnie Mantlez."

And it wasn't just the Yankees who were affected.

"(Expletive) Bill Murray," was the message to fans who "like" the Chicago Cubs.

This was published to the San Francisco Giants' page: "Wow, the Chick-fil-A guy sure is an (expletive)."

The Washington Nationals -- but not really the Nationals -- posted they were "going back to Montreal. SEE YA SUCKERS!!!!!!"

The Yankees have since deleted the Jeter post. Meanwhile, it's been business as usual on Twitter.

"The #Cubs and #Yankees Facebook accounts were hacked and inappropriate messages were posted on both pages moments ago," the Cubs tweeted. "We apologize if you viewed this message. We're looking into what happened with the league and Facebook."
