Blake Shelton To Release His First Christmas Album

After advising us to "Drink on It," Blake Shelton will soon be raising his glass with a different objective. The country star is set to release his first Christmas album this fall, and he's calling it Cheers, It's Christmas.

According to a post today on Blake's website, Blake's album will consist of classic Christmas songs, many of which he recorded with full orchestral accompaniment. Guests on the album will include Blake's frequent ACM Awards cohost Reba (it's their first time recording together), singer Michael Bublé (a reworked version of their 2008 duet "Home"), and his mother, Dorothy Shackleford. Mother and son sing the duet "Time For Me To Come Home," which Blake also cowrote.

Today, Blake also tweeted the cover image:

And as for the album title, we can't say for sure where the idea came from, but based on a tweet today from Blake's wife Miranda Lambert, educated fans can probably make a decent guess.

Cheers, It's Christmas is set for release on October 2.
