'Person Of Interest' Sought In Connection With Fatal Shooting Of West Orange Bouncer

WEST ORANGE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of a West Orange bouncer.

Jacques Nelson, 32, was shot and killed while trying to break up a fight in the parking lot of Misty's Restaurant and Bar on Main Street around 2 a.m. Monday, police said.

The Essex County Prosecutor's office and police have released a surveillance image of a person who was at the bar the night of the fatal shooting.

Officials said that bar patron is considered a "person of interest."

The Essex County Sheriff's Crimestoppers program is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
