KC-10 Aircraft To Fly Over NYC Ahead Of Air Force Week

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Air Force Week is coming to New York City on Aug. 19 and to get ready, the Air Force will be giving the public a bit of a preview of what's to come.

A military flyover of a KC-10 aircraft will take place Tuesday afternoon. The plane will take off from Kennedy Airport at 12:30 p.m., flyover parts of New York City and then return around 2 p.m.

Air Force Week will feature similar flyover, concerts and much more, including the chance to meet Airmen currently serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Air Force Week is free and open to the public. It runs from Aug. 19 to Aug. 21.
