Florida Georgia Line Song 'Summer Jam' Gets Cut By Jake Owen
After finding out their song "Black Tears" will be featured on Jason Aldean's upcoming new album Night Train, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line got even more great news. Jake Owen wants a cut!
The newly signed duo stopped by Charlotte station The New 103.7 on August 15 to debut some new tracks from their upcoming album, and in the process they gave us some insight into their recent success. Florida Georgia Line's single "Cruise" is already impacting country radio, and as we previously reported, they debuted on the Grand Ole Opry last weekend.
Now things are falling even more into place for the duo, as they reveal that fellow country star Jake Owen has covered a song they wrote called "Summer Jam." The song will be included on Jake's upcoming EP, Endless Summer, due out Sept. 25.
"[He's] another one of our idols, and someone we look up to," says lead singer Tyler Hubbard. "That's a big privilege to have him sing a song that we wrote on and are actually singing on with him."
And as for having Jason Aldean record their music? "It's really humbling and cool," says Hubbard. "It's one of those things you dream of as a songwriter."
Florida Georgia Line will be hitting the road this fall with Jake Owen (see the tour dates).
