"Cowboys and Angels" Singer Dustin Lynch Tops iTunes Country Chart

Dustin Lynch has a prominent future in country. This past June he told 99.5 WYCD that his song “Cowboys and Angels” is changing his life. Little did he know how much change would occur.

On August 21, the 27-year-old country singer released his self-titled album on the Broken Bow label, the same label as Jason Aldean and James Wesley. The new album allowed Lynch to exercise his intense writing skills. According to The Examiner, he co-wrote 10 of the 13 songs with assistance from producers Brett Beavers and Luke Wooten. During his interview with 99.5 WYCD, Lynch had the following to say about the writing process:

"I’ve put a good 300 songs worth of writing into this thing, so we’ve narrowed that down to 12 or 13.”

The album opens with “She Cranks My Tractor,” which may be helping Dustin crank his way to the top. His popular single, “Cowboys and Angels” is also featured on the album.

After just one day since the album release, Lynch has already landed himself in the #1 spot on iTunes Country charts and Top 5 in All Genre. He has had quite the day—a day that is leading him on the highroad to success.

In his own words, this album is “the work of my life,” and it clearly shows.
