Double Illness Causes Thomas Rhett To Miss Toby Keith's 'Live In Overdrive' Tour

Even country stars miss work now and then. That's the case for the “Something To Do With My Hands” hit maker, Thomas Rhett. Tonsillitis and mononucleosis have temporarily knocked him off Toby Keith's 2012 "Live In Overdrive" tour. Rhett's official Facebook page revealed the news to fans.

“I was really looking forward to Atlanta and Charlotte with Toby Keith and Brantley Gilbert this weekend,” Thomas said in his statement. “Cannot wait to get back and see the fans."

Thomas will miss tour stops at Aaron’s Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Georgia (8/24) and at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Charlotte, North Carolina (8/25). Keith and Gilbert will perform as scheduled.

Rhett hopes to rejoin the popular tour in Missouri and Illinois next weekend.
