Giants Sign Two Players To Practice Squad
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Giants signed cornerback Terrence Frederick and center Scott Wedige to their practice squad on Monday.
The practice squad contracts of tackle Matt McCants and wide receiver Brandon Collins were terminated to make room for the Super Bowl champs' new additions.
Frederick was a seventh-round draft choice of the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. The Texas A&M product was waived last week.
Wedige was signed by Arizona as a rookie free agent from Northern Illinois. He was waived on Aug. 31 after playing in each of their five preseason games.
McCants was the Giants' sixth-round draft choice this year. Collins was in training camp as a rookie free agent.
