State Of The Art Science, Medical Facilities Headed For Upper East Side

NEW YORK (AP) -- Two state-of-the-art science and medical facilities will be built on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

The announcement was made Monday by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and the City University of New York.

Sloan-Kettering will build a cancer care facility that will feature innovative outpatient treatment programs.

CUNY's Hunter College will build a Science and Health Professions building to upgrade its science and nursing facilities.

Currently, Hunter's health sciences and basic sciences are located at two different campuses.
