82-Year-Old L.I. Woman Struck, Killed By Vehicle Backing Out Of Driveway

JERICHO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- An elderly woman was struck and killed by a vehicle backing out of a driveway on Long Island.

Miu Lam Hung, 82, sustained a serious head injury after she was hit and knocked to the ground on Manors Drive in Jericho around 8:30 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Hung was pronounced dead at North Shore Syosset Hospital.

Police checked the brakes on the vehicle, driven by a woman in her 30s.

No criminality is suspected, police said.
