Emergency workers rushed the 24-year-old man to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he's in critical condition. Meanwhile, the police used video surveillance cameras to find the car. It had been parked behind a 24-hour convenience store about six blocks away.

The police had all the evidence they needed, as the victim's blood was on the hood. The windshield was smashed and the front grille was missing. It had been found at the scene.

The police are still hunting for the driver.
