NYPD: Suspect Wanted For Punching Woman In Face, Stealing Purse
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a suspect who they said punched a woman in the face and then stole her purse.
It happened Tuesday just before 4:30 p.m. on Allen Street on the Lower East Side.
The suspect followed a 25-year-old woman into a building at 50 Allen Street, punched her twice in the face and took her purse, police said. He then fled east on Allen Street.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man between 35 and 40-years-old. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
