Missing 15-Year-Old Farmingville Girl Found Unharmed

FARMINGVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A family's frantic search for a missing Farmingville girl is over.

Alisa Papik, 15, was found unharmed Thursday afternoon. She will be taken to Yaphank Police headquarters later tonight where she will be reunited with her parents.

Papik, a freshman at Sachem East High School, had been missing since 3 a.m. Sunday, her family said.

Earlier, Alisa's distraught mother said she found out her daughter had been talking to an older man she met online.

"She was on a website called MeetMe.com and she left to go meet up with this person and I haven't heard from her again," Christina Papik told 1010 WINS reporter Mona Rivera.

Earlier attempts by friends to reach Alisa by phone, text or social media were unsuccessful.

Papik said her daughter has never run away from home before.

"This is the first time that this has ever happened," Papik said. "I'm really scared."

A witness told the family that Alisa was seen early Sunday morning at the Ronkonkoma train station, Rivera reported.
