Cops Hunt For Pair Of Suspects Who Allegedly Beat Up And Robbed Deacon In Brownsville Church

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for two men wanted in connection with a robbery at a church in Brownsville.

At 2 p.m. on Wednesday a deacon was in the basement of the Glover Memorial Baptist Church on Dean Street when he was approached by a black male described as being 17 to 19 years old, around 5-foot-8 and weighing 130 pounds, with a skull tattoo. The suspect asked the deacon if he had any money, the deacon said no and was assaulted, according to authorities.

A second suspect described as having a similar build and wearing a black hooded sweater and black sweat pants, entered the basement and stole the deacon's wallet, phone and laptop.
