NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The Giants and the 49ers squared off in a heated game at Candlestick Park on Sunday, but the players weren’t the only ones who showed aggression in San Francisco.
Prior to Sunday’s highly-anticipated matchup, a large chunk of Big Blue fans and 49ers fans got into a vicious brawl. The scene turned quickly ugly, as both men and women took part in the melee. The Giants split their season series with the 49ers in the 2011 campaign, forging a rivalry between the two talented teams. San Francisco, thought by many to be the best team in football this season, was favored to win on Sunday, but the Giants put on an impressive display en route to a 26-3 victory.
