Pinzon-Martinez was described by friends as a hard worker who often sent money back to his family still living in Mexico.

"I really feel so bad," Pinzon-Martinez's friend Debra Reed told 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria. "I feel so bad, I said a prayer for the family and everybody. I know there's nothing else I can do. I wish I could bring him back."

Police said the killers apparently knew Pinzon-Martinez was carrying cash from the cell phone store to an office above and followed him to the third-floor office.

"They took his money. Not his money, the store's money because every night around 8:30 he'd close this place up," Reed told D'Auria. "Everybody can't believe it. He never did nothing wrong."

Both suspects are described as black or Hispanic and heavyset, according to police.

Anyone with information in regards to this homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging into the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls will be kept confidential.

Pinzon-Martinez's body was found in the office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
