Man Killed By SUV In East Flatbush Hit-And-Run

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 23-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in a hit-and-run early Saturday in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn.

At 3:37 a.m., police responded to Foster and Nostrand avenues, where they found the man lying on the ground with severe injuries to his body.

Paramedics responded and transported the man to Kings County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He was identified as Jason Williams, of the 2000 block of Nostrand Avenue.

Police learned that Williams was running north on Nostrand Avenue where he was struck by a red sport-utility vehicle headed west on Foster Avenue.

The offending driver drove off before police arrived.

No arrests had been made in the case as of early Saturday afternoon.
