His attempt to escape the death penalty is based on an argument that he is too mentally retarded, his IQ so low that he can't be executed.

Yet, on Facebook, he has posted quotes from Martin Luther King, Jr.; Henry Ford, and the author Ralph Ellison along with a prison photo of himself showing off a Bloods gang tattoo on a bulging bicep.

Psychologists and family members will testify that is IQ is way below par.

Federal prosecutors, however, argue that he was a scheming, cold-blooded killer when he ambushed and murdered two undercover detectives during a gun buy and bust on Staten Island in 2003.

A jury convicted Wilson, now 30, in federal court in Brooklyn in 2006, then sentenced him to death a few weeks later in 2007. But in 2010, an appeals court tossed out the sentence, meaning a new jury would have to decide his fate.
