New Jersey High School Basketball Player Collapses On Court, Dies

RED BANK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A high school basketball player in New Jersey suddenly collapsed on the court and died Monday.

Albert Martin was a senior at Red Bank Regional High.

School administrators said he was playing on Monday afternoon for about 45 minutes, when he collapsed during a scrimmage around 3:45 p.m.

He was set to go back into the game in the second period, when he suffered what appeared to be a seizure, All Shore Media reported.

Martin was taken to Riverview Hospital in Red Bank, where he was pronounced dead soon afterward, All Shore Media reported.

Martin was team captain.
