VIDEO: Man Sought In Series Of Crimes Targeting Older Women In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for help in identifying and finding a suspect wanted in a series of crimes, including a pair of robberies and grand larcenies.

Authorities said the suspect took cash from an 89-year-old woman after snatching her purse on Dec. 3.

Also that day the suspect is also accused of shoving a 68-year-old woman to the ground and grabbing her purse as she left a post office in front of 830 Magenta St.

A day later, police said the suspect followed a 78-year-old woman into the elevator of her building before grabbing her wrist and taking cash and a money order from her pocket.

The suspect is also believed responsible for a Dec. 5 attack in which a 60-year-old woman had an envelope containing cash snatched from her, police said.

Authorities described the suspect as a heavy-set black male, who was wearing a dark-colored jacket and black hat.
