Woman Critically Injured In Suffolk County Fire

BOHEMIA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was left in critical condition this week after a fire broke out in the Suffolk County apartment complex where she lived.

The fire broke out in an apartment at 40 Middleton Rd. in Bohemia around 5:30 a.m. Friday, Suffolk County police said.

The 71-year-old woman who lived in the apartment was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where she was listed in critical condition.

Police did not specify the nature of her injuries.

The cause of the fire was under investigation Saturday. Police said it did not appear to be criminal.
