Authorities Investigate Fatal Shooting In Newark
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - One teenager is dead and another is hospitalized following a shooting Saturday night in Newark.
According to authorities, the two teens were the apparent targets of the shooting.
The shooting at the Rev. William D. Watley Plaza housing complex around 6:40 Saturday evening left Raheem Neal, 15, fatally wounded and a 17-year-old wounded, Essex County prosecutors announced.
The 17-year-old has not been identified but is in stable condition, according to authorities.
An investigation is ongoing but officials said it does appear the two were targeted.
