Commuter Plane Blows Tires, Veers Off Runway At Newark Airport
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A United Express flight from Rochester blew its tires as it landed at Newark Liberty International Airport Sunday evening and veered off the runway.
United Express flight 4480 landed in Newark at 8:24 p.m.
The plane blew four tires on landing and veered onto the taxiway, WCBS 880 reported.
Thirteen people – eight passengers and five crewmembers – were onboard the plane. Everyone was offloaded onto the taxiway, according to Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Ron Marisco.
No one was injured, Marisco said.
