Overnight Kearny Apartment Fire Leaves Tenants Homeless
KEARNY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - Three firefighters required medical attention after fighting a fast-moving three-alarm fire early Sunday morning.
The fire tore through Kearny apartment building, severely damaging the building and leaving its tenants homeless.
It took firefighters three hours to bring the blaze under control.
Two firefighters were treated and released, while a third remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
No residents of the six-unit building were injured in the fire and firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
