Rihanna 'Unapologetic' About Rekindled Romance With Chris Brown

NEW YORK (WLNY) -- Rihanna's new album is called "Unapologetic," and the title seems timely.

In an explosive new interview, the superstar singer opens up about her rekindled romance with R&B bad boy Chris Brown, TV 10-55's Carolina Bermudez reports.

It's been four years since Brown beat her, in an incident inflaming fans and shattering Brown's reputation. But the couple are an item once again - and Rihanna's not sorry about it.

"I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that," Rihanna told Rolling Stone magazine. "Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake."

Brown pleaded guilty to assault, put in hours of community service, and publicly apologized.

"After being tormented for so many years, being angry and being dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash," Rihanna said. I can handle it."

The singer also said that "it's different now."

Meanwhilile, Brown has been clear about his regret.

"I have told Rihanna countless times...that I'm truly, truly sorry, and that I wasn't able to handle the situation both differently and better."

But trouble still follows the singer, who has a reputation for a short temper.

Last year, he was charged in a SoHo nightclub brawl with musician Drake, but was never charged.

Just last week, he allegedly punched singer Frank Ocean outside a recording studio in West Hollywood.
