Police Identify Victim Killed In Bronx Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Sunday identified a 20-year-old man who was shot and killed in the Morrisania section of the Bronx, as the search for the shooter continued.

The deceased victim of the shooting at 501 E. 165th St. in the Bronx was identified as Jamie Joseph, 20, of the Flatbush-Ditmas Park section of Brooklyn. A 22-year-old man was also wounded in the early Saturday incident.

Police were called to the scene around 12:04 a.m. Saturday. Upon arriving, they found Joseph inside with gunshot wounds to the torso, and a 22-year-old man outside the building with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Both victims were taken to Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, where Joseph was pronounced dead and the older man was reported in stable condition.

No suspects had been identified as of late Sunday afternoon.
