Sree Tips: Valentine's Day Apps
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - With Valentine's Day tomorrow, Sree Sreenivasan, tech expert from our partner network CNET and Columbia University's chief digital officer, stopped by with some apps that will get your ready for the big day.
Don't worry. They're safe for morning TV.
There are a lot of digital pitfalls if you go searching online, and there are apps that can help you find romance in special ways, but we are not talking about those.
We are talking about apps that can help you show your love for that special someone.
The first app is Couple (free, iPhone/Android). This is a social network for just two people. Share photos, plan dates, even "thumb kiss" using this app.
Next up is Helpful Romantic (99 cents, iPhone). This offers gift ideas based on your loved one's personality, interests and tastes. But also provides suggestions for romantic things you can do throughout the year.
The last recommendation is Open Table, which many of us already know as a restaurant reservation system (free, iPhone/Android/Blackberry/Windows). It's the best restaurant reservation system year round, but is very helpful for folks who haven't made plans yet. Instead of calling around to a bunch of restaurants, you can immediately find out what's available, where and when.
