5 Injured In Teaneck, N.J., Fire

TEANECK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Five people were hospitalized Saturday following a fire in Teaneck, N.J.

The fire broke out in the early morning hours in a home at Ester Avenue and Beverly Road, according to published reports.

Fire officials said the blaze fire started in an oven. The fire was contained to the back area of the home, and no major damage was reported.

The five people taken to the hospital were admitted for smoke inhalation and minor injuries. All lived on the home's second floor.

Authorities said some other residents also suffered minor injuries, but refused treatment at the scene.

The cause of the fire was not known late Saturday afternoon.
